What determines the cost of Christmas light installation?
Every display is custom-quoted. Learn what shapes your quote — from roofline length and stories to architectural complexity, display scope, service, and lighting ownership.
There isn't one price for every home.
Two properties rarely need the same Christmas lighting display. A simple single-story roofline and a multi-level home with peaks, tree wrapping, and layered features are fundamentally different projects.
THE FACTORS
What your quote actually looks at.
1. Roofline length
More linear footage means more lighting material and more install time to run it cleanly.
2. Number of stories
Taller homes require more equipment and labor time to reach and install lighting at height
3. Peaks & architectural complexity
Multiple peaks, gables, and angle changes add planning and installation time.
4. Trees, shrubs & columns
Accent features add material and labor beyond the roofline. Tree wrapping is available for small and medium, easily accessible trees; larger work is evaluated individually.
5. Wreaths & garland
These decorative elements are additional scope beyond roofline string lighting.
6. Overall display complexity
A simple roofline outline is different from a layered design combining roofline, peaks, entry features, shrubs, trees, and garland.

We don’t publish a starting price or price range because flat numbers can be misleading. The useful number is the quote based on your property’s actual rooflines, features, access, and desired display.

Why Year 1 and returning seasons work differently.
You purchase and own the custom lighting materials used for your Christmas project. That changes how cost works over time.

Year 1
Year 1 includes the purchase of your custom lighting, along with design, installation, in-season service, takedown, and storage.

Returning seasons
For a comparable display, you're generally paying for design refresh, installation, service, and removal rather than the lighting materials again.

New features change the scope
Expand the display, add new elements, or make significant design changes and additional material and labor affect your quote.

For most homes, photos and your address are enough to begin. More complex properties may need a site visit.
